Woods

Six nights, a handful of thunderstorms, and a bottle of whiskey.  It's not finished yet, I can feel that.  Over three feet tall, my dreams spilled out for all to see....

Only in this one I can't tell if I'm moving forward or backward.

And forward, definitely forward.

I definitely felt we were moving forward, maybe because of the light, it could be an illusion but that was my feeling. I think that it is a very lovely talent that you have here. I'm impressed and marvel at the pictures it is creating in my head for wordiness. Perhaps i shall look at it again and write a poem from the visual imagery....

Just a thought, but maybe the thing to finish it would be something or someone moving forward in the forest as if following their dream, in the ethereal mood of the forest/woods.

much love and hugs.

It's gorgeous, Chantel! I can almost smell the woods just looking at that!

The photographer in me thinks we are moving backward. The explorer, forward.

Completely gorgeous! For some reason, I get the sense of going backwards through it~

Wow, you are so talented. That picture is just gorgeous. I have a picture of woods as my background on my laptop because I love these types of pictures/paintings.

Thank you all so much, painting is definitely therapy for me--I lose track of time for hours in that place...no pain, no worries, just paint and music and the dreams in my head. Thanks again...

At my age, I can barely see the numbers inside the lines that tell me what colors to use. *Sigh* Getting old sucks, sorta.

Wow, that is beautiful! Great job! I need to get back into painting...It was always my therapy too but I gave everything a little break recently so I've been missing it. You may have just inspired me to start again. =)

nice...i am liking it...there is a nice depth to it...and i like the light...i hear you on it being therapy...that is what writing is for me...

Susan--thank you! You are the wizard with color, I tend to drown in variations of one shade.

BamaTrav-lol I wish life was a paint-by-number at times, wouldn't that make things easier?

Julie--oh, do start again! (and thank you) :)

Brian--I think when I write, not such a good thing all of the time. On the other hand, your writing is rather theraputic for many, I believe. :)

OMG, OMG, OMG, that sound you might have heard is my jaw just hitting the floor. Chantel I HAD NO IDEA you were such a talented artist! This painting is utterly awesome - I love how you've captured the mists and the light in there. Wow, I could just look and look at this, it's amazing.

Beautiful! And if you're moving backward, it may just be so you can take a running start.

Buddah & Candy--thank you so much!

Mel--I like your perspective, I will attempt to rewrite my thoughts accordingly. :)

OK - so my first thought was a selfish one. I admit it. The thought was, of course, how great this magnificent work would look on our den wall in Spain. Ahhh, *sigh*
You really created a masterful piece of art. So lovely, but more than that. So intriguing and compelling. A mirror of the soul.
Blessings.

WOW! I could step into that...

a home library.

Path--thank you kindly!

Pierre--this painting seemed to grow as I worked...I'd been dreaming of this for weeks before I started, only I wasn't sure if I was going toward the light or away. Thank you.
